Hello, I'm Emily
The Owner and Main photographer at EMily Leggett Photography
I have been in the photography industry for 7 years now! I began my photography journey in Lake Charles, La and have since then married the love of my life, Taylor, and moved to his home town Summit, Ms. Together, we have a beautiful daughter named Alivia.
My passion for photography has only grown since starting a family of my own. I have learned a new appreciation for the work that I do, the memories that I get to capture for a family to hold onto forever, the special moments I get to be apart of in my clients lives. I get to watch them grow from engagements, to wedding day, pregnancy announcement, maternity, newborns, and family sessions for years to come. That has become my niche, my specialty, growing with families. It's what I look forward to every time I get a new inquiry, every time I book a new wedding. While I'm setting up detail flat lays on your wedding day, I'll be thinking about how beautiful your kids will be one day and wonder if they'll get their dads personality or their moms beauty. I look forward to meeting the parents of the bride and groom and how exciting it will be to watch them go from mother/father of the bride/groom to grandma and grandpa. It's the little things like that about this industry that have pulled me in so deep and have driven me to be the best I can be at it.
Photography is what I was always meant to do. I tried school, I tried the corporate world, I tried different careers here and there and yet I was always pulled back in because I couldn't give up everything I got to be a part in photography. This isn't just a job to me, it's a joy, honor, and privilege to be able to do what I do. I love it with all of my heart and I hope that you can give me the chance to have these moments with your family too!!
My approach

Something that sets me apart from other photographers would be that I don't have one specific uniform style. Instead, I enjoy molding to my clients style and delivering a gallery that looks more like them rather than trying to make them look like me. I remember when I was on the hunt for
